iAthy Rugby Football Club is based in the town of Athy, about forty five minutes from Dublin, in the southern part of County Kildare.  The club was founded in 1880 and has had a long and distinguished history with 16 appearances in the final of the Provincial Towns Cup, the blue riband competition for Leinster Provincial Clubs.

The club currently field adult teams at 1st, 2nd, 3rd and underage teams at U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19 levels.  The club also comprises a Ladies Hockey and a badminton section.  The 1st XV currently play in the RE/MAX Leinster League Division 2.  The clubs main focus is on fielding rugby teams, however Athy R.F.C. also prides itself on a thriving social scene from the now infamous Halloween fancy dress party to the clubs formal end of season banquet you are guaranteed many good nights throughout the season.  The clubs pitches are some of the best in Leinster and the club also has a fully floodlight astro turf pitch.  Athy R.F.C. is a club that is run on a voluntary basis, without the support of these volunteers and the community at large we would not be in existence.  Athy R.F.C. would like to thank all its members and sponsors for their continued support.
