Athy Rugby Club's 1st Annual Barn Dance will be held at the clubhouse on Saturday the 28th of August 2010 from 9pm till Late with a band being followed by a D.J. Admission is €10 and tickets are available from the following:-

The club is undertaking a series of  renovation projects inside and outside of the club house. If any members or friends have surplus building or decorating materials left over which they would like to donate to the club such as sand, gravel, paint, timber, insulation, light fixtures and fittings, gysum, bricks, blocks or stone etc please contact Tommy Whelan on 086 875 5009 for further details. This is another opportunity to support your club and its development projects.

Like many clubs these days, a large number of our adult players are presently unemployed and looking for work. The Club intend to set up a "Work Scheme" whereby members and friends of the club who have work available, including odd-jobs, casual work, full or part-time work, can contact a specified contact person who will match their job with a member who has the skills to do it. This initiative is in the early stages of development and we are looking for the following:-

• Members and friends of the club who are willing to help to get this initiative up and running
• Ideas and suggestions to help maximise the benefits of the scheme
• Persons who have jobs or casual work available to provide details of the work / job
• Members who are looking for work to email an outline of their availability and skills.
